Scope

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Similar browser storage, such as local storage, can keep information on your device between visits. We use these technologies to support sign-in, protect requests made from an authenticated session, and remember limited workspace context.

This policy describes the current first-party use in the Elite Billing web application. It does not describe cookies used by websites or payment pages operated by other companies.

Essential session and security storage helps the service recognize your signed-in browser and protect account actions.

Cookies used for sign-in and security

Cookie settings can vary by deployment. The lifetimes below describe the current default configuration.

Authentication session

Keeps your account signed in and lets the service authenticate your requests. It is marked HttpOnly so browser JavaScript cannot read it. The default lifetime is 24 hours; the cookie is cleared when you sign out.

Request security token

Supports cross-site request forgery protection for actions made from a signed-in session. The browser makes this token available to the application so it can be sent with the matching request header. The default lifetime is 24 hours.

Cookie security settings

Cookies use the site's path and SameSite settings. Secure-only transmission is enabled by default in production. These settings may be adjusted for a particular deployment.

Browser storage used by the application

Workspace preferences

Local storage may remember billing defaults, such as tax preferences, discounts, and service charges, so they are available in your workspace.

Cached workspace context

Limited dashboard, subscription, and currency context may be cached in your browser to support the application experience. Local storage remains until the application removes it or you clear your browser data.

Local storage is different

Unlike cookies, local storage is not automatically attached to every web request. The application reads stored values when it needs them for workspace features.

Block or remove data

Your browser can block cookies, remove existing cookies, or clear local storage. Browser controls differ by product; check your browser's help pages for instructions.

Service impact

Essential cookies are needed

If you block or clear authentication or request-security cookies, sign-in or protected account actions may stop working. Clearing local storage can remove saved preferences and cached workspace context.

Linked websites

If you follow a link to another website, that provider may use its own cookies and storage under its policies. Review its notices and settings separately.

Those settings are managed by the provider.

Payment checkout

When you use a third-party payment checkout, that provider may use cookies or similar technologies to operate its payment flow and prevent fraud.
